Niseko Support Letter
Dear friends,
I am excited to share that I will be joining a mission trip to Niseko, Japan with my church Island ECC from March 22 to 30.
My wife and I have long wanted to visit Japan in a meaningful way and give back to its beautiful culture. In 2020, we planned a summer mission trip, but COVID halted those plans.
Now, the ministry we were originally exploring in 2020 is helping to establish a new Christian school. Their hope is to introduce Christ to a new generation, as it can be challenging for Japanese adults to accept Him due to social pressures. I will be part of my church’s team, hosting an English camp for local kids and teaching an art workshop while assisting new teachers moving into their apartments and visiting local ministries. This trip will also serve as a vision trip for me to understand the needs of the nation better.
As I prepare, I invite your support through prayer:
Pray for God to unveil my eyes to see the things that He sees.
Pray for insights to my next steps post trip.
Pray for team unity, as many have not met before and most are not educators or conversational in Japanese.
Pray for team health and safety due to the winter weather and the drivers who may not be accustomed to driving in the snow.
Pray what efforts we put in can be magnified by Him for His kingdom.
Another way you can partner with me is through financial support. I am responsible for raising HK$7,750.00 for this trip. Any amount of contribution from you will be greatly appreciated! If you feel led to support me financially, please follow the steps below to make a donation. Please note that tax receipts are only eligible for Hong Kong residents.

As you prayerfully consider supporting me, please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any questions. I know that our Lord is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us. I would be honored to share this exciting journey with you and to witness the works of our Lord in Japan together!
Sincerely,
Kelvin (ケルベン) Liu
